Mr BJ Hastings 28-JUN-2020 Management and Leadership are inherently practical and relational activities that we learn by doing. This class combines world-class content of what constitutes successful leadership, with interactive learning activities where you can identify, learn and practice your leadership skills. Class activities include presentation skills, negotiation tasks, decision-making, coaching others and topical debates. These activities are designed for you to practice and hone your leadership skills in a safe environment. We assess your effort, learning and reflection, as opposed to getting it right. This course has been adapted to suit our current way the world interacts online. It is modelled on an existing and successfully delivered online model for internationally-based learning. Learning content is pre recorded, seminars will be conducted over Zoom and learning activities are in Zoom breakout rooms. We use a variety of other technologies, as appropriate, for example: Google sheets, Moodle discussion forums, TED talks and leadership videos.
