Prof G Prusty 31-AUG-2014 This is a message for all of those students due to enrol in MMAN1300 in S2 this year. Due to there being two pre-requisites for the course (MATH1131/41 and PHYS1121) we often encounter the problem of students failing one or both of those courses having previously enrolled in MMAN1300. To avoid any problems, or disappointment that may come with being removed from the course due to lack of pre-requisites, for this enrolment period we have decided to delay enrolment for the course until marks are released and you satisfy the pre-requisites. This will still give you two weeks (your mid-year holidays) in which to enrol online as usual but will save you any distress, and enable you to plan in the case that you feel you may not pass either Math or Physics this semester. You will need to fit the rest of your timetable around the times for MMAN1300, which you can check via online handbook. In the case that you do fail one or both of these subjects, you will be able to reattempt them, as they are offered in Semester 2 also. In order that your progression not be delayed, you will then need to attempt MATH1231 over the summer session. You will all be advised well in advance as to the date for enrolment in MMAN1300.
