Prerequisites: CHIN3006 or equivalent. Students who do not have the necessary prerequisites must visit the School of Languages
and Linguistics website for placement information. All classes begin from Week 1. The course is divided into three groups:
one group for non-background speakers (ie students who have no dialect knowledge); two groups for background speakers (ie
students who have dialect and/or advanced Chinese language knowledge).
