Prerequisites: CHIN2006 or equivalent. Students who do not have the necessary prerequisites should visit the School of Languages
and Linguistics website for placement information. All classes begin from Week 1. Students must attend 4 hours of class for
12 weeks. The course is divided into two groups: one group for non-background speakers (ie students who have no dialect knowledge);
and one group for background speakers (ie students who have dialect knowledge).
